Founded by Adam Shuck and David Bernabo, The Glassblock was made possible by hundreds of donors through a crowdfunding campaign in late 2015. The Glassblock began publishing on April 25, 2016 and ran until June of 2017. Though the publication is now on an indefinite hiatus, the magazine’s archive remains—and here’s where you can find co-founding editors Shuck and Bernabo:
Adam Shuck continues to compile and edit the daily Pittsburgh news round-up EAT THAT, READ THIS and is active in local political organizing.
David Bernabo has launched Recital, an outlet to experiment with publishing on Pittsburgh arts and culture, and will be creating two documentaries with support from the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council: Moundsville and Eating & Working & Eating & Working. He is also premiering two additional films, Site-Specific: A History of the Mattress Factory and In the Dark Wood, a film about a new concerto by composer Mathew Rosenblum.
